At the of a Service Engagement, the Service Delivery Environment Supervision Manager should hand over the items of the
Service Delivery Environment to the Client, Capgemini, or any third party. The tasks necessary for a successful closure
of the Service Delivery Environment should be carefully planned, with roles and responsibilities identified.
Where elements of the Service Delivery Environment have been leased for the duration of the Service Engagement, the
associated contracts will have to be formally terminated. Hardware and software components belonging to Capgemini
should be identified, their sources notified and their return planned and achieved. Where software or hardware is going
to be retained by the Client, the associated licenses need to be updated with the relevant names of the new owners and
formally handed over, ensuring that the suppliers are made aware of the changes in responsibility.
Wherever necessary, the Service Delivery Environment Supervision Manager must pass the central repository maintained
during Service Delivery to the Client or transfer the artifacts to the Client managed repository. In this case, the
Service Delivery Environment Supervision Manager along with the Engagement Manager must ensure that an effective
knowledge transfer process is implemented so that the respective parties involved receive all appropriate information.
Finally, the Service Delivery Environment Supervision Manager will summarize how the Service Delivery Environment has
been handled during the life of the Service Engagement, especially if there are any suggestions for improving the
standard procedures and tools used for future service deliveries in a Service Engagement.
